  • Individuals between 60-100 lbs: 1 cup
  • Individuals between 100-150 lbs: 1½ cups
  • Individuals between 150-200 lbs: 2 cups
  • For every 50 lb more—add an additional ½ cup of salts

While taking a detox salt bath you can use only Epsom salt or use a mixture of Epsom and Himalayan salt.

Note: for people who don’t have detox experience and are trying a salt bath for the first time, it is advisable to use only Epsom salt. The next time, you can add Himalayan salt.

How to prepare a detox salt bath?

First of all you should cleanse and rinse off the bathtub thoroughly in order to remove the dirt and mold. Moreover, this temperature of the water is warm enough to dissolve both, the Epsom and Himalayan salt.

While taking detox bath you should not add any bath additives such as shampoos, oils or soaps. If you want to do a shampoo bath, you should do it before the detox bath. In order to get all of its benefits you should towel try after the salt bath.

Before taking a detox bath, it is highly recommended to eat some healthy and light meal. This is important because you might get dizzy at the end, from an empty stomach or low sugar.

Another extremely important thing is to stay hydrated. It is crucial to drink plenty of water before and after the bath throughout the day. Also, make sure to take a bottle of water and drink it while you are taking the detox bath. In order to relax, you can listen some music!
